As winter comes to an end, February is the month for Half Term holidays, World Nutella Day, Groundhog Day and St. Valentine's Day.

Imbolc is a Gaelic traditional festival marking the start of spring, and for Christians is the feast day of Saint Brigid, Ireland's patroness saint. Held on the 1st February, about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

Groundhog Day is a fun US holiday to celebrate the emergence of a Groundhog, which signifies when spring will arrive. If the Groundhog has a shadow, it is thought that winter will continue for six more weeks, if not, spring has arrived.
