Good Friday is a Christian festival, held on the Friday before Easter Sunday, and is the day on which Jesus was crucified and died on the cross.
It is celebrated by attending church services and it is traditional to eat Hot Cross Buns on this day. The cross on the top of the buns is said to represent the cross that Jesus was crucified upon.
