International Cat Day, sometimes known just Cat Day, is the annual celebration for cat lovers around the world. It's a day to appreciate and celebrate cats - big and small, wild or domesticated
There is however more than one Cat Day celebrated around the world.
The most widely accepted day for celebrating our feline friends for International Cat Day is August 8th. This day is organised by International Cat Care to highlight important feline-focused topics and raise awareness of cats as a species.
It includes cats of all sizes from lions, tigers and cheetahs to wildcats such as the Scottish Wildcat, Lynx and Snow Leopards through to your snuggly family pet.
