Balamory was a wonderful kids TV show, made between 2002 and 2005 and shown on BBC 1, 2 and CBeebies. It was shown on CBeebies until 2016.
Set on the fictional Scottish island of Balamory it featured the lives and antics of the residents, including Nursery boss Miss Hoolie, PC Plum, bus driver Edie McCready, local eccentric inventor Archie, painter Spencer, Susie Sweet and Penny Pocket who ran the local cafe and shop and Josie Jump, sports enthusiast.
If you want to watch Balamory, there are a few episodes available (unofficially) on YouTube, however to see any others, you will need to get hold of a DVD or VHS (yes, really).
The Balamory section of the BBC website is still available to view here.
Many people who are fans of the axed (BOO!) Balamory want to visit the town itself, so if you are one of those people, here is what you need to know.
Balamory is filmed in Tobermory (bonus for Wombles fans) on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. Explore Tobermory has maps of the island telling you where all the houses in the show can be found. The main part of the website for Tobermory gives information on travelling to the Isle of Mull.
Balamory Toys are really difficult to track down these days, however it is still possible to buy Balamory DVDs and Balamory Books, as well as a Balamory PC game.
However to be honest your best bet is to check out eBay, Schpock or your local Facebook Marketplace listings, as although these items are no longer made, secondhand items are available on a regular basis.
