The FIFA Men's World Cup 2026 will be held from June 11th to July 19th in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
2026 marks the 23rd World Cup, which is the first finals to include 48 teams instead of 32 as it has previously.
What Is the World Cup?
The World Cup is the world's biggest soccer tournament, held every four years. The event is organised by FIFA, Fédération Internationale de Football Association, which is the worldwide governing body for football.
The location is chosen after a (usually) hard-fought bidding process. For the first time in 2026, three countries from two continents will host the competition, with Morocco, Portugal, and Spain as host nations.
It is a big celebration, and football fans across the world will be glued to ther TV screens for every match. In between matches, you may want to have some football themed fun. These ideas are perfect for parents, home educators, toddler groups and teachers.
