There are some fantastic kids and family movies due for release in the lead up to Christmas 2017!
All the summer's biggest movies will be out on DVD, including Despicable Me 3, Captain Underpants, Cars 3 and the Emoji Movie. So whether you are looking for a stocking filler gift or something for your family movie night this Christmas, here are the best movies coming out on DVD, Blu ray and to download this winter.

Despicable Me 3(U) was possibly THE must-see movie of the summer, continuing the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters - Margo, Edith and Agnes – and, of course, the Minions. Balthazar Bratt is a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date.

Trolls Holiday is a half hour Christmas special featuring the characters from 2016's popular Trolls movie.
When the eternally optimistic Poppy, queen of the Trolls, learns that the Bergens no longer have any holidays on their calendar, she enlists the help of Branch and the rest of the gang on the delightfully quirky mission to fix something that the Bergens don’t think is broken. Prepare to be merry as you can't stop the music with Trolls Holiday!
Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and James Corden will reprise their roles from the film.
Cars 3(U) sees Lightnin' McQueen blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, and the legendary racer is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns.
Proving that #95 isn't through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing's biggest stage!
Favourites Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Cheech Marin, John Ratzenburger and Bonnie Hunt return to provide the voices of all your favourite Cars characters.

Fireman Sam - Alien Alert The Movie (U) The iconic Welsh Fireman has to unravel he mysterious circumstances surrounding alien-hunter-turned-TV-presenter Douglas' arrival to the town of Pontypandy. With UFO sightings on the increase, he is determined to get to the bottom of the odd events.

The Emoji Movie (U) goes inside your phone to Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live. Each emoji has only one facial expression - except for Gene, an exuberant emoji who is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become "normal" like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak.
But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it is deleted forever.
The reviews of this movie were, to say the least, not terribly positive but it does feature the voices of T.J. Miller, James Corden, Ilana Glazer, Jennifer Coolidge, Patrick Stewart, and Maya Rudolph.

The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature(PG) is the sequal to 2014's The Nut Job. Surly and his friends, Buddy, Andie and Precious discover that the mayor of Oakton City is planning to build a giant yet quite-shabby amusement park, which in turn will bulldoze their home, which is the city park.
It's up to them and the rest of the park animals to stop the mayor, along with his daughter and a mad animal control officer from getting away with his scheme, and take back the park.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie(U) sees two fourth-graders hypnotize their principal in order to transform him into Captain Underpants, the superhero from their homemade comic book. The trio soon battle a new teacher at their school, who's secretly a mad scientist.
With the voices of Kevin Hart, Thomas Middleditch, Ed Helms, Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele and Kristen Schaal.

In Spider-Man: Homecoming(12A) Peter Parker begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero Spider-Man. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with May - June, under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark.
Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine - distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. When the Vulture emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Whisky Galore! (PG) is a remake of the much loved 1959 film based on the true story of the cargo ship SS Politician which ran aground off the island of Eiriskay in 1941, with a cargo of 50,000 cases of whisky.
The story tells of the battle between the Excise Men and the locals while trying to salvage the ship and, more importantly, its amber cargo on board. The story is set during WWII, and due to rationing the island was totally without any type of alcohol, a serious situation for the Scottish islanders!

Son of Bigfoot is an animated comedy which tells the story of teenage outside, Adam Harrison, who sets out on an epic and daring quest to uncover the mystery behind his long-lost dad - only to find out that he is none other than the legendary Bigfoot! As father and son start making up for lost time after the boy's initial disbelief, Adam soon discovers that he too is gifted with superpowers beyond his imagination.
