The BFG (Cert PG)

Based on Roald Dahl’s much-loved story of the little orphan Sophie who visits the land of giants with the Big Friendly Giant. Giants are mostly bad-tempered, argumentative and like to eat children; The BFG, unlike his fellow giants, likes humans and only wants to catch their dreams.

Sophie wants to escape from her life in a cruel orphanage. The BFG rescues Sophie and together they hatch a plan to prevent the other giants from harming any more humans.

The Secret Life Of Pets (Cert U) What do your pets get up to when you are out of the house?

A terrier named Max starts to get neglected as a favorite pet when his owner gets a mongrel named Duke from a dog pound. But they have to put their quarrels behind when a seemingly adorable white rabbit named Snowball and his army of abandoned pets conspire to exact retaliation on all happily-owned pets and their owners. Meanwhile an American Eskimo dog named Gidget  assembles her own ragtag group of pets to track Max and Duke down.

Ghostbusters (Cert 12A) Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. A pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real.

A few years later, when one of the pair lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University  her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. However when ghosts invade Manhattan, they team up with a nuclear engineer,  and a subway worker  to save the world from a mysterious evil and powerful demon.

The Legend Of Tarzan (Cert 12A)
