St. George's Day 2021

St. George is the patron saint of England, renowned for fighting dragons and saving princesses.

His courage and selflessness is regarded as the essence of Englishness and he is celebrated on the 23rd of April each year.

Did you know that 23rd April is also William Shakespeare's Birthday? To celebrate the work of England's greatest playwright, National Shakespeare Day is celebrated on this date, and Shakespeare Week is held each year at the end of March.
