The Guide for Working Families

A Definative Guide For Parents to Combining Work And Home Life

The Guide for Working Families

The Guide for Working Families is the latest guidebook published by the Centre for Economic & Social Inclusion. The new guidebook will be an essential resource for all parents juggling work responsibilities and a home life, and it is available now at all good bookshops.

The book is designed as a comprehensive guide to employment rights, choosing childcare and the financial support available to working parents. It contains vital information on:

  • Maternity and paternity leave, and options for working flexibly
  • Choosing childcare, either home-based or out of the home
  • Benefits, tax credits and support systems available to working families
  • Updating skills for parents returning to the labour market after an absence

The idea for The Guide for Working Families came from realising that parents are not aware of the support available to them. We discovered a need for an all-round guidebook that starts from pregnancy and presents the options available to families with young children, through to advice for women returners to education or training.

The Guide for Working Families is available at Amazon.co.uk

Save Money & Make Friends by Sharing a Nanny
Nanny sharing is an idea that is coming to the rescue of many working mothers. For parents struggling to place their children in a suitable day care centre and unable to afford the cost of a nanny by themselves or needing a flexible childcare solution, sharing a nanny with another family can be the answer to their prayers.
