Gruffalo Trunki

8th September 2009

Trunki Gruffalo

The Trunki Ride-On Suitcase was been one of the biggest successes of the BBC’s ‘Dragon’s Den’.

The suitcase, designed especially for children, has a double purpose; not only can children pack their own toys and belongings for a holiday in their own easy-to-use case (which is hand luggage approved), but if they are bored waiting in an airport lounge the suitcase becomes a fun ride on toy that they can whizz around on.

From the original Trunkis in pink and blue there have been various special editions, including a cow, a ladybird and the Trunki TowGo.

September 2009 brings with it a very special new Trunki arrival – he has terrible tusks and terrible claws with terrible teeth in his terrible jaws… If that hasn’t given it away then nothing will! This autumn sees the launch of the limited edition Gruffalo Trunki to coincide with an animated Gruffalo film being shown on the BBC this Christmas.

If you somehow haven't heard of The Gruffalo, is began as a delightful book by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. In rhyme it tells the story of a little mouse who goes into the deep dark woods in search of a nut; he meets all sorts of dangers which he deals with ingenuity and cunning.

The story has spawned a follow up book The Gruffalo's Child and it has been turned into a fantastic stage show, an audio book, soft toys and even sticker books.

The Gruffalo Trunki is available at Babys Mart and Amazon !
