When a baby is born, many of you will want to let every one know about it; some people hang appropriately coloured ballons outside the door, however you may have seen that Wayne and Coleen Rooney had an 8 foot stork when their baby arrived!
If you want something similar (if maybe not quite that over the top), then mum of three Stephanie Roberts' new venture is just what you are looking for.
Just before Christmas last year she gave up her HR role with technology company Lockheed Martin as the child care was just too expensive for three children. To keep her brain working and to bring in a bit of money (as if looking after 3 children under 3 wasn’t a full time job in itself!) she has created Stephanie Stork Lawn Signs.
A Stephanie Stork Lawn Sign is a birth announcement sign that goes outside your house to inform your friends, family and neighbours that your baby has arrived. You simply write your baby’s name, date of birth and weight onto the stork’s bag with the pen provided and pop it in your garden.
Says Stephanie, "This is a new product which you simply can't buy anywhere else in the UK. The only thing that is similar over here are two places which rent out 6 foot birth announcement signs (at £50 per day) within a 30 mile radius of Glasgow and Liverpool. The rental market is also very big in America, but there is nowhere in the UK or USA where you can buy signs, which is why I decided to fill the gap in the market."
