Nintendo Wii![]() The Nintendo Wii was the must have games console for Christmas 2006, and product shortages mean that it is still hard to get hold of even this year. Pronounced 'we', it is a games console designed to plug into your TV set allowing the games to be played by a number of players together. The console has a smart, compact design which can be displayed vertically or horizontally. Nintendo will introduce a number of new games exclusively for Wii, plus versions of favourites such as Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong and Metroid. It plays all games from the current Nintendo GameCubeT generation. Better still you also have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for NintendoŽ 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment SystemŽ (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment SystemŽ (NES). Also included is Wii Channel giving a variety of entertainment, information and communication channels which allow you to surf, shop, check the weather and even edit your holiday snaps. Wii Sports allows you to play Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing in the comfort of one's living room. Simply use the Wii Remote controller to mimic the actions of swinging a racket, bat or club or roll a ball down an alley. It is available (if it's in stock of course!) at Amazon.co.uk, Gameseek, Play.com, Littlewoods Direct and Amazon.com My Word Coach for Wii or DS
