Indiana Jones And
The Staff Of Kings
In Indiana Jones® and the Staff of Kings™ the videogame, Activision’s all-new gaming adventure starring everyone’s favourite archaeologist with attitude, you get to crack the whip – with a unique groundbreaking playing interface.
This new game for older children is rated 16+ and is available for Wii, PSP, PS2, and DS.
The new control system means for the first time ever, you can wield your Wii Remote™ like Indy’s signature whip to get yourself out of sticky situations. Not only that, you can interact with environments like never before, and use objects and settings in ways that are only restricted by your ingenuity.
Combat options are diverse – you never knew there were so many ways to defend yourself against an assailant with a bullwhip – but the whip is also an essential tool for navigation and problem solving.
With locations spanning three continents, Indy’s quest for the staff of Moses features action featuring bi-planes, bar brawls, tank battles, tidal waves and giant spiders. A new co-op mode also means that our hero can team up with his father Henry Jones Sr.
Taking the Wii’s immersive gaming experience to new levels of reality, you throw the punches, you row the boat down the rapids and you most certainly crack the whip.
Click Here to watch a video feature about the game featuring ‘real life’ Indiana Jones, Robert Dante, who recently set the Guinness World Record for the most number of whip cracks in a minute. He’ll also tell us about his role in making the new game as life-like as possible, complete with extensive footage from Indy’s latest digital adventure.
Indiana Jones® and the Staff of Kings™ the videogame is available from 30th June 2009 at Game, Play.com, Gameseek and Amazon.co.uk.

A Parent's Guide To Blu-ray
What is Blu-ray? Blu-ray is a high-definition disc format and DVD is a standard-definition format. The higher definition means that Blu-ray is a significant improvement over DVD in terms of picture and sound quality, delivering a whole new exciting way to experience movies, games and music. Blu-ray discs play through either a BD player or Playstation III enabling the highest quality viewing experience available to date. Build Your Own Go-Kart As your children get down to another blast of high-speed virtual carting, don’t you wish they could be out in the park, doing it for real? Old-time fun is, of course, the whole idea behind The Dangerous Book for Boys, which has a ‘Making a Go-Cart’ chapter. But as the authors concede, it’s hard to find the parts these days – particularly the steel wheels and axles.
