Easy Heat Launch New Low Surface Temperature Radiators

Unique child friendly heating system

As a parent nothing matters more than the safety of your children, especially in their own home. Accidents can happen in a spilt second though, which is why it’s important to eliminate potential dangers.

A glancing touch of a child’s thin, sensitive skin on a conventional central heating radiator – the surface temperature of which can reach up to 70°C – can quickly cause a painful injury. In recognition of this fact, leading heating manufacturer, Easy Heat, has unveiled a new range of Low Surface Temperature (LST) Radiators, specifically designed to prevent accidental burns.

While the LST casing ensures the surface temperature never exceeds 43°C – thereby complying with strict NHS standards – the built in boiler, pump and thermostat turns each radiator into a self contained central heating system. Wall mounted on brackets and plugged into any 13 amp socket, the Easy Heat range requires no pipe work or boiler and can be positioned anywhere in the home.

A mini boiler heats the water in the radiator which is then circulated by its own internal pump. Meanwhile, an inbuilt air thermostat monitors the room and, once the desired temperature has been reached, the unit stops drawing electricity thereby avoiding cold spots or overheating – vital in a child’s bedroom where maintaining the right temperature is crucial to their health.

Perfect for a nursery, bedroom or playroom, an additional benefit of the system is its whisper quiet operation, which means your child can sleep undisturbed. Easy Heat radiators also come with a choice of controls. The seven-day radio frequency controller enables a group of radiators to be programmed to come on and off together, as in a conventional central heating system, while two or more controllers can be used to create different heating zones. Meanwhile, the integrated timer control mode has a built in 24-hour timer which can be programmed to come on and off in 15 minute intervals, offering the flexibility and versatility required by busy family lives.

In both cases, when not in use, each of the units can be switched off completely to conserve energy. Managing Director of Easy Heat, David Garrity, explains: “The Easy Heat LST radiators are designed to prevent unnecessary burns while keeping the home at a comfortable temperature. Perfect for creating a child friendly environment the system gives you peace of mind while they happily play.

“Meanwhile, the system’s built in thermostat ensures heat is only ever delivered when and where it is needed and, because all the electricity consumed is converted into useable heat, it is a 100% energy efficient and cost effective way to heat the home.”

Whether it’s one LST radiator in one room or several throughout the home, the energy efficient and versatile wall-mounted Easy Heat radiators are available in four sizes, cost around £495 and come with an extended two-year warranty.
