Design Your Child’s Bed

Bed manufacturer Silentnight have produced an online bed designer that lets you put together your own choice of headboard, mattress, storage options and feet to make a unique bed for your child’s room.

First you select your headboard from a choice of blue, pink, turquoise, lilac orange and red.I chose a nice cheerful orange. Next you choose your ‘Playpal’ which is a design for your headboard.Do you want a heart or a duck?Maybe you want a hippo or a football.I’m looking for a really cheerful, girly look so I chose the heart.

Next you can pick your bed base; the colour choices are the same as for the headboards, so do you want classic co-ordination or groovy clashes?You could for example choose a bed in team colours with a football theme, however for this psychedelic themed room it has got to be a clashing pink!You can also choose to include under bed storage, or have a sleepover bed.

Finally your bed can have a cute pair of feet.Do you want to match up your duck or hippo’s feet, or make a hybrid monster!!You can also choose football boots or trainers in pink or lilac.Lilac trainers will definitely be the finishing touch for this girl’s bed!Once you have made your choice you will see a picture of the finished bed.You can then go back and change your mind about any of the features, or try out any number of combinations until you are happy.

Here’s my finished bed! If you enter your child’s name at this point the will receive a personalised information pack with their bed.
