A Beautiful Cot that is Easy to Use

The hugely successful Ludo and Milkshake ranges from The Childrens Furniture Company have given birth to a beautiful, sturdy new cot in three stunning finishes; beech, cream or white - and a handy baby changer to fit neatly on top of their existing chest of drawers.

The cots are designed to fit in with the two existing ranges – shelves, wardrobes, chests, bookcases, beds and bedsides cabinets etc. Now there is no reason to change your little one’s entire room scheme once they outgrow their cot. You can simply replace this magnificent cot with a stunning matching bed from the Ludo or Milkshake range – letting the furniture grow with your child, and taking this range from birth to childhood and beyond.

Both cots are reassuringly solid, sturdy pieces. The Ludo cot is finished in beech with rounded edges, and a choice of plain or five engravings for the end panels; and in the Milkshake range the cot is finished with two coats of cream or white paint. They are durable, beautifully-made, high-quality cots that you’ll not want to give to the neighbour, but keep for the grandchildren!

These cots also have four mattress positions – the base slots in at the level you find most convenient for picking up your baby. Two all-natural mattresses are available – in coconut fibre or slightly springier latex – each with a removable cotton cover.

Many modern cots come with a drop-front rail. Helpful? – Yes, but any mum will tell you that the fiddly plastic catches that hold it in place at either end of the cot are virtually impossible to open. So you end up not bothering to use them, and bending right over and hurting your back!

The Children's Furniture Company have developed a unique new safe and simple system to lower the rail: just pull on the two spring-loaded levers together, and the rail slides down smoothly and easily. The levers are designed so that mums can reach them easily and babies can’t – and pulling one lever at a time won’t do the trick, so it’s extra-safe for babies and toddlers, complying to BSEN 716 standards.

You can turn any Milkshake or Ludo chest of drawers into a handy changing unit, with the launch of a new baby changer. The beautiful beechwood tray with safety panels fits neatly and quickly onto the top of any Ludo or Milkshake chest of drawers. The lips will keep it safely in position and at just the right height, and it can be removed in a moment, too, when your little ones grow out of nappies.
