The basic rules of how to dress in the workplace apply whether you are pregnant or not. You still want to look professional, smart and pulled together.

Here are six Top Tips from Fun Mum on how to look your best at work while you are pregnant.
Comfort and cut are of paramount importance to anyone who wants to look professional and feel confident. You are wearing the clothes not the other way around!. Choose well designed clothes which allow for your changing shape and choose performance fabrics that are durable and machine washable.
Size Matters! Make sure your clothes fit. Funmum take this into account with their range of petite and long length trousers and plus sizes (the range gies up to size 22). You do need to choose clothes designed specifically for pregnancy as normal clothes a couple of size bigger won’t fit properly. And…..ill-fitting clothes make you look shabby!
Keep It Simple! Professional clothes should not interfere with your work. They are a blank canvas for you! So choose classic, tailored lines for a clean professional silhouette. This also gives your peers the message that you are disciplined and in control.
Colours and Patterns. Grey, navy, brown, black and white are the colours that professionals like solicitors and accountants choose for a reason. They are colours which say ‘take me seriously’. Anything flowery and flouncy in the workplace is an absolute no-no! Stripes are an acceptable alternative.
Basics – this is your capsule wardrobe! A classic white top, a good pair of black trousers, comfortable but stylish jeans. These are clothes that can be worn during and after pregnancy, and are therefore very good value for money. They also have the added advantage of being easily mixed and matched.
Formal Functions - There is no need to compromise here just because you are pregnant! Wrap over dresses are a classic solution, smart and professional they can be dressed up and personalised with thoughtful accessories and will see you through functions form the office party to a black tie event.
