Babies Boom On A Budget!

Cash-strapped parents and parents-to-be can find all the top quality baby clothes, toys and equipment they need at NCT Nearly New Sales, and save around 70% on what they would cost brand new.
Well-established and trusted by over 200,000 parents who visit them every year, NCT Nearly New Sales represent the best sales of excellent quality used baby and children’s items.
With many families tightening their belts in the tough economic climate, NCT Nearly New Sales, sponsored by Persil-Bio, offer an affordable alternative to trawling the high street for pricey baby products.
Meanwhile, parents with baby goods they no longer need can spring clean their clutter, ensure it goes to a good home and make some cash at the same time. Items must be in excellent condition, and sellers keep up to 70% of the proceeds while the rest is returned to fund NCT’s work.
As the charity’s largest fundraiser, the Sales raise over £1 million every year to help support parents in their communities and through UK-wide projects. They help NCT branches provide face-to-face support to parents on their doorsteps, as well as funding the NCT helplines, breastfeeding counselling, training antenatal and postnatal teachers and many more services.
Jessica D’Arcy, Community Fundraising Officer at NCT, said: “Nearly New Sales are open to everyone, not just NCT members, and whether buying, selling or both, visitors can be sure they are helping to support other parents in their area by funding the charity’s vital work. The Sales are great news for eco-conscious parents too, as each year they prevent over 300 tonnes of baby clothes and equipment ending up in landfill.”
