Family Favourites – Triple Box Set![]() This set of 3 DVDs, just released by BKN Entertainment, includes some favourite children’s tales retold in a comic and distinctly modern fashion. In the three stories, Robin Hood – Quest For The King, The Three Musketeers – Saving The Crown and The Prince And The Pauper – Double Trouble, the characters are represented by animals and the animal characters can all talk too – in fact they often get the funniest lines! Robin Hood - Quest For The King tells how Robin Hood, on hearing that Richard The Lionheart is to be captured by his brother King John, sets out to escort the King home from the crusades. Aided by his merry men and Maid Marian he rescues the King with the aid of an enormous cake...... The Three Musketeers – Saving The Crown is based upon the book by Alexandre Dumas. The Musketeers, with the aid of new recruit D’Artagnan, his sister Kitty and the Princess Constance (who is pretty handy with a sword herself) must save France from the evil machinations of Cardinal Richelieu, who plans to outlaw the Musketeers as part of his plan to take over the throne. The Prince And The Pauper – Double Trouble is based on Mark Twain’s popular story of the Tudor Prince Edward who swaps clothes with the pauper who looks like him. However when the Prince gets locked out of the palace, the pauper looks set to be crowned king; can the Prince get back to the castle to claim his rightful throne? Well, with a little bit of help from Jiffy the Jester........ Our reviewers aged 4 to 7 enjoyed all three stories, especially the music and the swordfights! They thought the films were ‘really great’ and asked to see them several times. The Family Favourites – Triple Box Set is released on 3rd September 2007 and available from Amazon.co.uk Latest Kids Movies
