The Fun Chair
It is a cliché, but at Christmas youngsters across the world neglect their expensive andnumerous presents in favour of the packaging in which they arrive. If you have ever joked that ‘next year we’ll just get them a cardboard box’ then here it is, the perfect gift for young children - a cardboard box.
Of course this is no ordinary cardboard box. It is a cardboard chair which your children can customise in any way they choose. It will work as a piece of children’s furniture as well as giving hours of entertainment.
Another feature of the chair is that they can build it themselves with noscissors, no glue and no mess. They are not told what to do with the design - they can do whatever they want. It allows them to express themselves and to create a personal touch.
Creator Amalia Peill was inspired by watching her own daughter playing with a cardboard box. “It’s about children and teaching them to be creative, to think for themselves.”
The chair is environmentally friendly as it is made from corrugated board. It offers a blank canvas for children to play, create & decorate using paint, collage, pens & crayons. It would be perfect used athome but would also be a fun activity for nurseries or schools.
