Tasty Lunch Box Treats

With the new school year upon us, Lesley Waters has been working towards some tasty and nutritious lunch box treats in conjunction with Fairy Washing up and Fairy for dishwashers which have been specifically designed to get the stains out of Tupperware.

Here are the recipes for your lunch box, they are both really tasty and great for kids lunch boxes or even for taking to work.

Chunky Chicken Wraps

These tasty tortillas really are quick and easy to do. Turkey or ham can be used in place of the chicken.

4 Flour Tortillas
225g cooked chicken breast cut into strips
1 small Pot of houmous
2 Baby gem lettuce leaves washed and dried and roughly chopped
1 red pepper, halved seeded and sliced thinly

Simply spread a layer of houmous over the tortilla wraps. Scatter over the chicken strips, gem lettuce and peppers strips Tightly roll up the tortillas to form wraps, cut in half and wrap well in cling film . Pack in your lunch box until required.

Fruit Kebabs with Chocolate Sauce

A selection of soft fruits with a yummy chocolatey sauce!

Ripe peach, stone removed and cut into large chunks
Black and green grapes
Pineapple skin removed and cut into large chunks
Strawberries hulled
Kiwi peeled and cut into thick slices
Bamboo skewers
1 bottle of ready made chocolate sauce

Wash and prepare fruits. Using a mixture of the fruits simply thread the fruits onto bamboo sticks. Place the fruit kebabs into a plastic lunch box, cover and chill until required. Just before serving drizzle the fruit kebabs with a little of the cold chocolate sauce, eat at once!!!
