Sizzling Beef Chilli
Steak is a good source of protein and this dish also provides a portion of vegetables. It
only takes 15 minutes to cook and is an interesting alternative to regular chilli beef.

Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large green pepper, deseeded and cut into cubes
4 spring onions, finely chopped
450g quick cook lean beef steak, cut into thin strips
500g jar Uncle Ben’s Hot Chilli Sauce
2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
2 tbsp lime juice
2 limes cut into wedges
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick frying pan and stir-fry the green pepper and spring onions for 3 minutes
- Add the beef strips and continue to stir-fry for a further 6 minutes, ensuring the beef is browned
- Pour the Uncle Ben’s Hot Chilli Sauce into the pan and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Finally, stir in the fresh coriander and lime juice and serve
Serving Suggestions
Serve with either Uncle Ben’s Express Mexican Rice or Express Long Grain Rice and some soured cream. Garnish with sprigs of coriander and lime wedges.
Cooks Tip
The sizzling chilli can also be used as a filling for fajitas to provide a quick and easy Mexican supper recipe. As a purely vegetarian dish, replace the beef with thick strips of aubergine and miss out point 2 which will save another 6 minutes.
