Independence Day - 4th July
On the 4th July each year, the people of America celebrate Independence Day. In the United States, Independence Day is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
Independence Day is usually celebrated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics and baseball games in both the USA and by American ex-pats all around the world. Here are some fun 4th July activites for the kids.
