World Book Day 2018

World Book Day - Do Something Booky Today!

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. Held every year in the first week in March, it is a carnival of books, literary activites and all sorts of book related fun.

In 2018 it will be held on Thursday 1st March.

It’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and it is marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

Schools all over the country run events for World Book Day, and most ask children to dress up as characters from books. If your kid needs a World Book Day costume here are some Easy World Book Day Costume Ideas.

Here are some more book related activities to celebrate reading.
